Entenza sinking own money into governor's race

Tuesday July 27th, 2010

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Democrat Matt Entenza has eclipsed $4

million in personal investment in his Minnesota gubernatorial

campaign since January.

Entenza reported Monday that the candidate accounted for most of

the dollars that has flowed through his campaign. He is an attorney

and former state legislator from St. Paul.

The Entenza campaign reported spending almost $3.9 million.

About $360,000 of that came from outside donors.

Most of the Entenza family contribution is documented in a new

report covering finance activity for January through mid-July. He

filed a separate report last week disclosing a more recent $450,000

contribution.

Entenza is one of three contenders for the Democratic

nomination. His Aug. 10 primary rivals are House Speaker Margaret

Anderson Kelliher and former U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton.
